With her love for horses, Nan has assembled a cross section of breeds. She and the family, and occasional buyers, enjoy an Appaloosa mare, “Apache Appy”, registered with the American Indian Horse registry and the International Spotted Horse Registry; a palomino mare, “Comarque”, registered with the American Quarter Horse Registry; a paint stallion and mare, “Major General” and “Angel of the Morning”, registered with the Horse of the Americas Registry and the American Indian Horse Registry; “Charlie”, the gelding bay quarter horse, now retired, that Nan rode on the Great American Cattle Drive in 1995; and Charlie’s pal, a bay quarter horse mare named “Sally”. The mares have had a variety of foals, all of whom are pampered and sometimes available for sale.
